The Diploma of Information Technology (Multimedia) provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in designing, developing, utilising and securing multimedia. A person competent in these competencies could work in the area of online services or multimedia development. The qualification has a relatively small core unit base with the potential for inclusion of a wide range of design, ICT and multimedia units to suit particular needs.

Pre-requisites

We suggest that you complete the ICA20105 Certificate III in Information Technology before undertaking this qualification, which will provide you with the fundamentals of ICT knowledge and skills required for qualifications at Certificate III in Information Technology and above. The 9 core competencies found within the Certificate I and II in Information Technology are a pre-requisite of the Certificate III in Information Technology. Alternatively, these 9 core competencies may be incorporated free of charge into the certificate of your choice.
