Certificate IV in Information Techonology

The Certificate IV in Information Technology (Multimedia) provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in designing, developing and utilising basic multimedia briefs either as an independent ICT specialist or as part of a team. The qualification has a small suite of core units with the opportunity for inclusion of 70 per cent of the qualification as electives. The electives offered are drawn from the Design, Website, Multimedia Development and Animation clusters.

We suggest that you complete the ICA20105 Certificate III in Information Technology before undertaking this qualification, which will provide you with the fundamentals of ICT knowledge and skills required for qualifications at Certificate III in Information Technology and above. The 9 core competencies found within the Certificate I and II in Information Technology are a pre-requisite of the Certificate III in Information Technology. Alternatively, these 9 core competencies may be incorporated free of charge into the certificate of your choice.
