The CHC50213 Diploma of School Age Education and Care combines theoretical and higher lever technical skills to support educators who are responsible for the day-to-day running of a before and after school care and/or vacation care service.

Career Opportunities:

  • Childhood Education Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a Child Care Centre and coaching their team of Early Childhood Educators. General duties may include planning the centre’s educational program, recording children’s developments, and assisting with day-to-day room tasks such as activity preparation.
  • Outside School Hours Coordinator is responsible for supporting families by creating a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for primary school aged children. This role encompasses many aspects of program delivery, including day to day operations of service, administration, computing, management of financial matters and liaising with key stakeholders.
  • Entry Requirements

    There are no entry requirements for this qualification, a preferred pathway for candidates considering this qualification include achieving a Certificate IV in either School Age Education or Care or other relevant qualification, or demonstrated skills.
